Support our Olympic Players

Please sign the official petition to complain about the withdrawal of ALL funding for our Olympic hopefuls.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/175561

To get to the Olympic games in badminton you have to be in the top 32 ranked players or pairs and this means that only those playing in the very highest level tournaments has a chance. To get to this level you need to be on the road travelling to tournaments or in practice full time. The days of talented amateurs is long gone.

Only three of our players can sustain themselves through prize money (Chris & Gabby Adcock and Raj Ouseph) - the impact of the withdrawal of funding will force everyone else to choose between funding themselves or leaving the game.

Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge won a surprise bronze medal in Rio last summer - under the new funding regime they would not even have been there.

Only 20,000 people have signed the petition so far. If you haven't already done so please sign it now!
