League rules require us to nominate players for all but the lowest team and these players can not play "down".

Colchester Restricted Tournament

The Federation are going to run a Colchester Restricted tournament again this year.

The tournament will be played at Highwoods Sports Centre on Sunday 18th October. Please see the Federation website for details and entry forms.

Essex Restricted

The junior and senior restricted tournament will be played over three days; 20th, 26th and 27th September.

Apologies

Apologies to anyone that turned up at the school last night to play badminton.

I received a call from the caretaker at 4:30pm to tell me that they school were preparing the hall for an event today and we could not play. As far as I know we were not notified previously. As I was coaching from 5pm - 7pm that didn't leave me much time to let everyone know!

Senior club is on tonight.

Season Dates 2015/16

Club will restart in September on Monday 7th September 2015 through to Thursday 17th December.

The Spring Term dates will be 7th January to 21st March 2016.

Colchester Open Mixed & Vets

Please enter the Colchester Open Tournament mixed and veteran's events will be played on Sunday 31st May.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting will take place on Friday June 19th starting from 7:30pm.

The meeting will be held at Colchester & East Essex cricket club.

Junior Badminton Cancelled 23rd April

The club has two senior matches tonight so unfortunately we will have to cancel the junior sessions. We will add an additional session at half term to compensate for this.

Easter Break

Here are the plans for the Easter period;

Our junior sessions will take a two week break during the school holiday so there is no junior sessions on Monday 30th March or 6th April.

Our Pay & Play session will run as usual on 30th March.

Senior club will continue as usual on Tuesdays throughout Easter.

We will be writing to parents about our plans for the summer term in the next few days.

Colchester Open 2015

Please enter the Colchester Open Tournament on 28th March. We will be playing the Singles and Level Doubles on this day.

Barbara Little

Barbara Little who was a founding member, long serving Treasurer and committee member for about 30 years passed away on Sunday. Our thoughts are with Vic and her family.

Without the efforts of Barbara and Vic our club would not be in the healthy state that it is. Both were dedicated club players and always willing to help the club in any way; perhaps most famously by hosting the AGM and by providing the refreshments for matches.
