Suffolk Saxons

Delighted to say that there is a challenge match arranged for next month - We are aiming to recreate the excitement enjoyed by all during the NBL season.  The match will be hosted in the iconic Ipswich Corn Exchange Grand Hall.  The Saxons squad includes some names from the pasrt such as Sean Vendy and we are delighted that Chloe Birch and Lauren Smith will also be pulling on the Saxons shirts to face Loughborough Lightning at 7pm on Monday 3 December.

Annual General Meeting

The club AGM will take place on Wed 4th July at "The Live & Let Live" pub in Stanway. The meeting will kick off at 8pm.

All members are encouraged to attend.

Junior Badminton Cancelled

Highwoods Sports Centre have advised us to cancel our sessions tomorrow, Sunday 4th March, due to the conditions on site.

Back to normal next week.

Colchester Open

The Colchester Open will be held on 10th / 11th March 2018 at Thomas Lord Audley School.

Open Singles and Level Doubles will be held on Saturday with Mixed Doubles and Veterans events on Sunday.

TLA Closed Monday 12th Feb

TLA School sports hall is out of action for maintenance during half term so there's no Development Squad or Pay & Play on 12th February.

Venue Update

The club will move its new home at the University starting Tuesday 30th January. Club nights will be every Tuesday between 7pm and 10pm in the new Sports Arena.

Thursday will be our match night with four courts booked in the Sports Hall. The courts are available from 7pm but most matches will start at 7:30pm as before.

Changing rooms with showers are available and the centre is open until 11pm so there's time to make use of them.

The entrance to both is from the Wivenhoe side and the best parking is next to the multi storey next to the tennis bubble.

We believe there will be a café / bar in the Sports Arena.

There's quite a lot to manage during the transition but we will do our best to make it a smooth experience.
